I love seeing people of all ages and in all stages of life learn to reclaim their peace and joy.
Welcome!
I’m Jennifer Bailey.
Anxiety and depression can be hellish. You may experience barely being able to get out of bed and drag yourself through your day, second-guessing everything you do, and feeling terrified that things will never get better. You may not have the energy, motivation, or desire to partake of anything that you typically enjoy. You may even question if life is worth living because all you see is an endless stream of sadness and apathy.
I am happy to tell you, I have been where you are, and I came out on the other side.
I am here to help you do the same!
My lived experience gives me great joy in guiding others to foster the skills they need to reclaim their lives and vanquish depression, anxiety relationship conflict, and adjustment problems to life stressors.
Together, we can build a powerful alliance to help you reclaim your life.
Unlike many recent college graduates venturing out on their own in private practice without time for mentoring, I have been a licensed independent social worker and clinical therapist for 31 years. I graduated from the University of Michigan in 1993 with my Master of Social Work degree. I have worked with a variety of people and couples doing individual, couples and group therapy.
I have a passion for helping teens and young adults who are struggling with depression and anxiety due to living through childhood trauma, or because they are uncertain about their transition to adulthood or their chosen career and personal path.
I do Christian and faith-based counseling upon request and see spirituality as a powerful ally in the change process.
I also offer clinical supervision to LLMSW’s, editing of Psychology Today and other professional profiles, and editing or creating web content to make your descriptors concise and well-spoken.
I love to laugh irreverently, read to learn new things, exercise (I sweat like a guy, no sparkling here!), and I hold a degree in clarinet performance which I use to teach privately and play in local gigs.
My husband, an RN, and I have been married for 20 years. We have an 19-year-old daughter and 18-year-old identical twin boys. The kids are 16 months apart, so I consider myself lucky to be sane enough to do this job!
Please see below for the insurances I accept.
I hope to meet you soon!
